I can't help thinking that M&S couldn't have got more publicity if they tried last week. Their incident over suggesting they would start charging more for larger bras compared to smaller ones has seen them mentioned in media across the board.
I just wonder how real it ever was as a concept however? They possibly decided it would be a way for smaller individuals to save a few valuable pennies in today's climate...on the flip-side if there is any sort of up-raw (which there indeed was) they can be seen as the store of the people by listening to them and trying to move past the issue. Either way, M&S certainly attracted a large amount of column inches and certainly took some emphasis off the banks!
As much as I'd like to think this was thought through I have my doubts!
They seem to have got there in the end but I don't think they have done themselves any favours. I do agree that they achieved a lot of publicity but I'm not sure they meant it.
